This Saturday, January 10, 2015, SnowSports Industries America (SIA) will host a nationwide snow sports demo day called Winter Trails Day. Newbies to snow sports can try snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing. FREE events and demos are happening this Saturday, January 10, 2015 at over 100 locations around the country, helping consumers discover the great fitness and social benefits of winter sports.

This month also marks the seventh annual Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month. During the entire month of January, ski and snowboard areas throughout the country will offer their best deals for newcomers wanting to try one or both of these winter sports in the most affordable way.   There are some awesome deals offered at Colorado Ski Country USA-affliliated resorts, including on January 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 for one half day first-time ski or snowboard lesson for only $65.
